Located in Bahrain, an island country in the Persian Gulf off the coast of Saudi Arabia, Long International is centrally located to serve its territory, which also includes Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan. Easily accessible by sea, air, and land, our extensive facility has its own roll-on / roll-off dock on a deepwater channel that leads to the main shipping lanes in the Persian Gulf. The nearby major international airport handles jumbo cargo planes and has daily long-haul service from Chicago and major European cities. And a high-speed highway provides easy access to the entire Arabian Peninsula.Our facility is located in Bahrain’s duty-free trade zone and has customs-bonded facilities that permit rapid free access to all our operations. The company’s facilities include a two-story office dedicated to sales, service, and technical support, a warehouse for storing replacement parts, and a workshop. Dedicated solely to the sale, servicing, and support of Manitowoc crane products, we have developed a full range of services that include the specially trained personnel and tools to repair VICON® torque-converters and to completely rebuild entire cranes. Fifty percent of our permanent staff have been with the company more than 20 years, and all of our employees are proud to be part of the Manitowoc family, we provide CraneCARE TM® support to more than 245 cranes ranging from a Model 2000 built in 1949, to the newest Model 2250’s.One of the more unique units that we support is a 1966 vintage Model 4000T truck crane. It is the only 4000T ever made, and it survived Iraq’s 1990 invasion of Kuwait. Our customers come in all sizes, from small regional companies just entering the crane-rental business, to some of the largest contractors in the worldwide construction industry, such as McDermott, Bechtel, CCC, NPC, and Al-Jaber.
